President Prabowo Scheduled To Attend The 2024 National Christmas Celebration At GBK Tomorrow

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto will attend the peak of the 2024 National Christmas celebration which will be held at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno Area, Jakarta, tomorrow Saturday, December 28.

"Yes (coming), yes, God willing," said Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar, who had just attended a limited meeting regarding the implementation of the Hajj led by the President at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Friday, December 27, which was confiscated by Antara.

The Minister of Religion also said that he would attend the 2024 Christmas celebration.

According to him, his presence at the event indicated that the government protects all people from various religions, including Christians.

"Yes, on behalf of the government, everything must be protected," said the Minister of Religion.

Based on the information gathered, the 2024 National Christmas Committee collaborated with the Communion of Churches in Indonesia (PGI) in preparing for the peak of Christmas celebrations which will be held on December 28, 2024 at the Indonesia Arena, Jakarta.

Chairman of the National Christmas Committee Thomas Djiwandono reported various preparations for activities, including the theme raised this year, namely "Back to Bethlehem" as a reflection of the values of love, peace, justice, and simplicity.

The peak of the national Christmas celebration is scheduled to be attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, together with interfaith leaders and 13,000 Christians.

PGI chairman Jacklevyn Fritz Manuputty welcomed this initiative and provided full support, as well as recalled TB Silalahi's contribution in designing an inclusive celebration concept.
