NTB Police Just Wait For The Prosecutor's Office's Results To Examine The Agus Bentung Case Files

West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police (Polda) said the investigation into the alleged sexual harassment case with a disability suspect without the initials IWAS alias 'Agus trailing'.

"So, for the progress of Agus' case, the police investigation stage has been completed, the completion of the file with the evidence we have collected has been submitted to the prosecutor's office," said Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) of the NTB Police Kombes Pol Syarif Hidayat in Mataram, Friday, December 27, confiscated by Antara.

Thus, his party is now just waiting for the results of the investigation of the case file at the NTB High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati).

"Now we just have to wait from the prosecutor's office for what kind of follow-up, is there any other clue, is it complete?" he said.

He hopes that the results of the case file research for the second time by the research prosecutor can be published soon and there will be no additional clues.

"So, we are waiting for the next few days, hopefully before the new year or before the beginning of the year it can be P-21 (the file is declared complete). This is what we hope from the prosecutor's office, because we have followed everything, we fulfill the instructions from the prosecutor's office," he said.

The investigating prosecutor from the NTB Prosecutor's Office previously returned the case file of the IWAS suspect to police investigators on Friday, December 13.

In returning the file, the research prosecutor provided additional instructions regarding the completeness of the case material.

The material equipment includes other victim statements, as previously stated by the Regional Disabilities Commission (KDD) of NTB Province, that the number of victims has now increased to 17 people.

In addition, there was also a request for additional information from a psychologist and included evidence of a voice video recording the conversation allegedly between the IWAS suspect and the victim. This video is known by the prosecutor's office to have been widely circulated on social media and revealed from information from the NTB KDD.

Police investigators then followed up on the return by completing instructions from the research prosecutor. Investigators then handed it back for the second time the case file belonging to the suspect IWAS to the research prosecutor on Monday, December 16.
