Exclusive Frederika Cull Challenged To Undergo New Profession From Model To Actor

Frederika Cull tells about the challenges that must be faced when he first played in the horror film by Soraya Pictures entitled Poison Sangga. In this film, Frederika plays as a wife named Maya who is pregnant young and must accompany her husband, Andi, who is a victim of deadly witchcraft.

He explained that the figures of Maya and Andi were genuine figures who really experienced the deadly witchcraft. Therefore, for the deepening of this character he met a lot of real figures from Maya.

However, it is not an easy matter for Frederika to be able to explore in-depth information about the figure of Maya.

"Yes, there is really. Because this is a real character, so the way to explore the original shop turned out to be very difficult. Previously I told you that to get information from the speakers directly, from the original direct figure, it was quite difficult because surely they wanted to give their version, the version they wanted to show," said Frederika Cull at the VOI office, Tanah Abang, Thursday, November 21.

"Even though there are sides they may not tell, we need to know so we can learn why, why they did something, and what their personality is, what makes them motivated in their life, or what motivation in their action," continued Frederika Cull.

It is undeniable by Frederika that it took a long process to finally get the trust of the Maya figure for her to perfect herself in the shooting process for this film.

"Well, that's what I have to know, and it takes a fairly long process. Several times we met with, a meeting with the real Maya so that she can trust him, so that she can become more herself in front of me," he said.

The challenge did not stop there, Frederika, who wanted everything to look perfect, was finally carried away by the story of Maya's life, no wonder Frederika finally got mentally ill after deepening and filming.

"It turns out that because of the story, the script is very detailed, it disturbs me mentally personally. I once told you that during the reading process, it started to get mentally," said Frederika Cull.

This was felt when he started having a nightmare that turned out to be experienced by Maya and Andi in the film Toxic Sangga. Fortunately, this story was only discovered by Frederika after the shooting process for his first horror film was over.

"I'm really busy where I have a bad dream, there's something called sleep paralysis, so I dream of going on. That happens a lot, and it turns out that what I dream of in that dream, what Andi is real, the original victim has seen. And I just found out that after the shooting process has been completed. So it turns out that maybe because I talked a lot with the original character, and was close to them, so come with me, "he explained.

Frederika Cull started his career as a model until he was finally able to win the title of Puteri Indonesia in 2019 and penetrated the top 10 Miss Universe which is the first time in Indonesia.

But now he wants to try an experience and new things in his career journey, namely by entering the world of Indonesian cinema. Frederika admitted that she had liked the world of theater and stage for a long time.

"Because I like acting, because I've always been in theater, so I really like being on stage, and like being in front of the camera. That means I'm a creative person, so I think after the beauty pageant, after giving something in beauty pageants, I want to give something new to the public through acting," said Frederika Cull.

Although relatively new in the world of Indonesian cinema, this woman whose full name is Frederika Alexis Cull has started to feel comfortable because she can get a new experience and knowledge, not to mention she can be given the opportunity to play in a film as the main character.

"This is a learning process, many things I learned. I am happy to be in this industry, because I started from the bottom, from really not having any knowledge of acting in films, and now I can be in films such as Sangga Poison, I am very grateful that I can still be given the opportunity to continue to film in the Indonesian film industry," he explained.

This is certainly not obtained by Frederika easily even though previously it already had a name in the world of beauty. He said that he still needed learning and adaptation so that he could actually enter the world of cinema.

"There is adaptation. There is an adaptation, there are many people who are not sure about their acting skills, because they see, oh, this is a model background, maybe they can't express themselves as actors, maybe there are difficulties for expression and others, emotions, building emotions. But yes, at the beginning it was difficult, but you learned by doing it. So after several projects are addicted and learning about acting again, it turns out that it can be, "the story.

Now feeling comfortable in the world of cinema, Frederika hopes to make achievements also in the world of acting. He wants his name to be also known not only as a beauty model but also as an actor.

"I want to build a name in the acting world. In the beauty pageant industry, it's already the top 10 in Miss Universe, that's the first time for Indonesia. I want to get something in the acting world, like making my mark in acting world," concluded Frederika Cull.
