Former Investigators Call The KPK's Right Step To Block Hasto-Yasonna: Key Witness
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is considered to have taken appropriate steps by expelling the Secretary General of PDIP, Hasto Kristiyanto, and former Minister of Law and Human Rights, Yasonna Laoly, in a series of bribery cases that also dragged Harun Masiku.
This is because one of them is said to be a key witness to find the whereabouts of Harun Masiku, who is still at large today.
"Investigators feel Yasonna is a key witness in this case. So it must be banned which is the investigator's authority," said former KPK investigator Yudi Purnomo to reporters, Thursday, December 26.
Moreover, Yasonna was the last witness to be questioned before Hasto was named a suspect. Thus, his testimony is considered very important.
Therefore, the demarcation of the two was carried out so that there was no reason for them not to attend the examination in the future.
"So that both of them do not travel abroad so that when the time is needed the investigators need their information they do not reason that they are abroad," he said.

On this basis, Yudi asked Immigration to provide information regarding direct deviation to Hasto and Yasonna. Then, temporarily withdraw their passports.
"Immigration immediately to convey to Hasto and Yasonna their demarcation and request their physical passports to be temporarily detained until the period of prohibition from leaving the country is complete for 6 months or later an extension of 6 months depending on the needs of investigators," said Yudi.
Hasto Kristiyanto and Yasonna Laolu were prevented from leaving the country after being named suspects in the bribery case that dragged Harun Masiku by the KPK.
"On December 24, 2024, the KPK has issued Decree Number 1757 of 2024 concerning the Prohibition of Traveling Abroad against 2 Indonesian citizens, namely YHL and HK," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika.
