Object Suspected Of Mortar Found By ART In Cilandak, Police Deploy Gegana Team
JAKARTA - A household assistant (ART) with the initials MS found an object suspected of being a mortar found at a resident's house on Jalan Bunga Melati Number 27, South Cipete, Cilandak, South Jakarta.
Cilandak Police Chief Kompol Febriman Sarlase said the incident occurred on Tuesday, December 23, yesterday.
"That's right, the alleged discovery of two objects suspected of resembling mortars," said Febriman when confirmed, Wednesday, December 25.
Based on MS's confession, said Febriman, he had worked as an ART in the house for about 40 years. He said that the house belonged to someone named Amir Syarif who had died since 2016
"The house where the two mortar-like objects were found has not been occupied or empty since mid-July 2024," said the police chief.

The Gegana Polda Metro Jaya team has checked the location where the suspected mortar was found.
The object was then taken to the Gegana Team Headquarters in the Petamburan area, Central Jakarta.
The Gegana Metro Jaya Police team also conducted a sweep of the house to anticipate the possibility of other mortars.
"The Jibom Team Gegana Polda Metro Jaya conducted a search around the location of the discovery and in the rooms in the house with zero results," said Febriman.
