Titiek Hamzah Supports The Efforts Of The Ministry Of Culture And The Cultural Estate Movement

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Culture (Kemenkebud) together with the Cultural Estate Movement (GEK-IND) held a small performance with the title "Tribute Musician-Legenal Singer 1960s" which was held at Building A of the Ministry of Culture, Central Jakarta on Tuesday, December 24.

Meanwhile, Neno Warisman as the Chair of GEK-IND said that his party encourages appreciation for Indonesian artists and cultural observers, including senior musicians who may be forgotten in today's generation.

This Cultural Estate Movement really reminds itself to be devoted to Indonesia through works at all times. And then picked up, then brought these values to the future, so that the next generation also cultivates them. Because a great nation is the ones who can appreciate the big people," said Neno.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon said that his party is ready to support the appreciation of the musicians through more major stages.

"We will set up a bigger stage with this tribute, with more involved being able to take part," said Fadli.

He also wants better archives of Indonesian musical works. He believes that Indonesia and its music industry have many works that can be shown to the world community.

"We are working on (the filing). Later there will also be a kind of encyclopedi for Indonesian disks and Indonesian music cassettes, so that everything has a database, because that's thousands, even up to tens of thousands," he said.

Regarding the efforts of the Ministry of Education and Culture and GEK-IND, Titiek Hamzah believes that what is said will come true. However, he also reminded that these efforts should be carried out with a team that works well.

"I was shocked and surprised by the plans of the Minister of Culture, about future plans. I believe in his persistence, with his unpredictables, he will carry it out," said Titiek.

"Hopefully. Because a success and failure depends on a good teamwork. Hopefully he gets the right and good teamwork," he said.
