Yogyakarta Opens Three Health Posts For Christmas And New Year 2025 Holiday Travelers

JAKARTA - The Yogyakarta City Health Office (Dinkes) provides a number of health posts for travelers in crowded centers during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays.

"Christmas and New Year's holidays are usually followed by increased community mobility, so it is important for us to ensure the availability of accessible health services, especially for tourists who need medical help," said Head of the Yogyakarta City Health Office Emma Rahmi Aryani in Yogyakarta, Tuesday.

Emma said, as many as three health posts were opened from 07.30-22.00 WIB at Yogyakarta Zero Point, Abu Bakar Ali Parking, and Simpang Tugu which was at the Jetis Health Center from 22 December 2024 to 2 January 2025.

According to him, the three health posts are located at transit points that are widely traversed by travelers to provide emergency medical services, health checks, and treatment of mild diseases for visitors during the holidays.

"This post is an emergency. If it is deemed necessary, we will refer it to the nearest hospital or call PSC 119. We hope that with these health posts, the public can be calmer and more comfortable celebrating the year-end holidays without worrying about health," he said.

In addition to the three health post points, he said, his party also prepared Emergency Installation (IGD) in hospitals for 24 hours, as well as two special health centers for delivery services, namely the Jetis and Tegalrejo Health Centers.

The establishment of the post is the result of collaborations from various parties, including hospitals, health centers, and health volunteers.

"We hope that with a good referral system and cooperation between these institutions, emergency health services in Yogyakarta can continue to run well and be more optimal," he said.
