Peak Of Train Homecoming Flow Occurs On Christmas Eve
JAKARTA - KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager Ixfan Hendriwintoko conveyed that the peak of the homecoming flow ahead of the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year (Nataru) celebrations will occur today, Tuesday, December 24, which is Christmas Eve.
"If detailed, departures from Daop 1 Jakarta, namely Gambir Station with 17,405 passengers (86 percent) and Pasar Senen Station with 25,357 passengers (97 percent of the available capacity)," said Ixfan as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 24.
Ixfan explained that overall, passengers departing today reached 92 percent of the available capacity, namely 46,572 seats. This figure is slightly higher than Friday (20/12) and Saturday (21/12), which are 89 percent and 91 percent.
However, Ixfan said the figure could continue to increase, as ticket sales were still ongoing.
Ixfan said that long-distance train tickets (KAJJ) for train departures from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen during the upcoming Nataru holiday are still quite widely available.
