Fenerbahce Protests Strongly, Turkish League Values Destroyed Systematically
JAKARTA - Fenerbahce, a club handled by Jose Mourinho, uploaded a strong protest statement after the 1-1 draw against Eyupspor on December 21, 2024, early in the morning WIB.
The club nicknamed The Yellow Canaries has started to get hot with the referee's leadership so far.
"Injustice is sufficient. We want a solution," wrote Fenerbahce, starting his protest.
According to the Istanbul-based club, the referee intervened in determining the results of the 17th week of Super Lig (Super Turkey League) between Eyupspor vs Fenerbahce.
Not only that time Fenerbahce felt that the referee's leadership was detrimental to them. In some matches they were also seen protesting.
"The result is at an undeniable level. This season, which begins with the slogan "Just in football", has turned into an embarrassing play due to the referee's embarrassing decision, especially in our team's game."

"Turkey football is being systematically slaughtered, especially through VAR referees, despite the efforts of the Turkish Football Federation and the uprising of teams suffering from injustice," Fenerbahce said.
Broadly speaking, Fenerbahce hinted that the league's running this season seemed deliberately thwarting them from becoming champions, a title they had never held during the past decade.
"So, the mistakes made consistently occur for the benefit of the team (against), giving this team a clear advantage on the road to the championship," Fenerbahce wrote.
In the match against Eyupspor, Fenerbahce protested the referee's decision not to give red cards to opposing players in several tough violations.
In addition, there were two handball incidents in the Eyupspor penalty box that were left alone.
"It is certain that our opponents finish the match with a card, but are not awarded in the match."
"The referee's slaughter was caused by a VAR referee who took over two open penalties that were not awarded to our team."
"Turkey football cannot be sacrificed for systematic and rotary attacks, which cannot be done based on mistakes," continued The Yellow Canaries again.
In the end, Fenerbahce emphasized that they support the empowerment of foreign referees so that matches can be neutral and fair, especially in Super Lig.
"We, Fenerbahce, do not accept this scandal. We want justice. We demand that foreign referees be immediately brought to the office," they wrote.
Since the last time the winner of the 2013/2014 Super Lig has won, Fenerbahce has been runner-up six times. The other two seasons ended on the third stairs of the standings and the other two seasons were in sixth and seventh place.
Jose Mourinho's presence last summer was Fenerbahce's attempt to win their first league title in 10 years, and to stop Galatasaray's dominance in the last two seasons.
