The National Police Chief Asks Staff To Anticipate The Mobility Of Residents In The Anyer Area
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo asked his staff to anticipate the mobility of residents in the Anyer Beach area, Banten, during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays.
"We remind integrated posts to prepare themselves to face the potential of people who will visit tourist attractions," he said during a visit to Merak Port, Banten, Tuesday, December 24.
He said there are two potential movements to the tourist area of Anyer Beach, namely residents from within and outside the province. Moreover, at this time it is nearing the peak end of the year.
Therefore, the National Police Chief emphasized that integrated service posts are ready to face the potential spike.
General Sigit also asked all members of the National Police to remain ready to provide services in the event of a disaster threat by collaborating with the TNI, the National SAR Agency (Basarnas), the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), and the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).
"Of course all the good colleagues of the TNI, Polri, Basarnas, BMKG, BNPB, everything, I ask to be ready to face the existing weather phenomena," he said.
The National Police Chief also hopes that the Christmas celebration night, which will be held tonight, can run safely and smoothly.
"I hope that all security personnel will provide the best possible security for Christmas services as a representative of the state to be present to provide the best service," he said.

The National Police is currently carrying out the 2024 Candle Operation to secure Christmas and New Year's 2025 for 13 days, from December 21 to January 2, 2025. The operation involved 141,605 joint Polri personnel, TNI, and other stakeholders.
Hundreds of thousands of joint personnel were spread across 2,794 posts consisting of 1,852 security posts, 735 service posts, and 207 integrated posts.
The personnel also secured 61,452 security objects consisting of churches, shopping centers, terminals, stations, ports, airports, tourist attractions and objects celebrating the new year.
