Erick Thohir Will Review The SOEs Merger Plan

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir admitted that he would review the plan to merge state-owned companies or merger SOEs in the work sector.

The reason, said Erick, was the change at the helm of the technical ministry which also intersects with BUMN Karya, from Basuki Hadimuljono to Dody Hanggodo.

"Continue to study for works, yesterday was the first letter of course the era of Mr. Bas, now the Minister is different, we have to repeat the study," Erick said when met by reporters at the BUMN Ministry office, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 24.

Erick said he would hand back the application letter for the shares of seven state-owned companies in the infrastructure sector. The target is that the letter is submitted to the Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo in January 2025.

"So that legally it can fit that way. Yes, we will also repeat this again, maybe the January letter has just been sent back, so everything is a process," he said.

For your information, BUMN works that will be consolidated include PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk or WSKT, PT Hutama Karya (Persero), PT Nindya Karya (Persero), PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero), PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk or WIKA, and PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk or PT PP.

Where in the scheme, the seven state-owned companies will consolidate into three companies. For example, PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk will be merged into the holding of PT Hutama Karya (Persero).

Then, PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) is consolidated with PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA). Then, PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk will also be merged with PT Nindya Karya (Persero) and PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero).
