West Lombok Prison Prepares Companion Prisoners For Agus Bentung In Detention

The Class IIA Penitentiary (Lapas) West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, stated that it is ready to provide supporting facilities for detention for persons with the initials IWAS alias Agus Bentung who is now a suspect in a case of alleged sexual harassment.

"If Agus is already here (West Lombok Prison), but is still unable to be independent with the supporting facilities we provide, then we will adjust it again to Agus' needs," said West Lombok Class IIA Prison Head M. Fadli as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 24.

The supporting facilities that are already available at the Class IIA Prison in West Lombok are for inmates with the status of a disabled person in the form of a special room with bathroom completeness and a sitting toilet.

Fadli said there are two special rooms and their use is not only for the elderly, but also for the inmates who are already in the elderly (elderly) category.

"Currently, the two special rooms have been occupied by our elderly inmates. There is also one inmate whose legs are not able to walk, using a stick, there (specifically)," he said.

In addition, Fadli also said that in Class IIA Prison, West Lombok, there were inmates with accompanying prisoners (tamping) who were ready to help elderly inmates and people with disabilities.

"Like our inmates who have a stroke, we assign them (companion detainees) to take care of them. Likewise for Agus, if they can't take care of them themselves, we will assign accompanying prisoners to help," he said.
