Prince To The Clash Will Receive Special Awards At The 2025 Grammy Awards

The Recording Academy through its official social media account has announced eleven big names who will receive special awards at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

The US-based awards agency will provide three types of trophies, consisting of a Lifetime Achievement Award, Trustees Award, and a Technical Grammy Award.

Harvey Mason Jr. as CEO of the Recording Academy, on the official website, stated that this award is a great tribute to the group of eclectic music icons.

"Each recipient of the Special Merit Awards this year has left an indelible imprint on music, from paving the way for others to innovations that have forever changed the track of the music landscape. We can't wait to celebrate this group and their achievements in February," he said.

Prince is a big name in the world music industry, with his famous songs, such as 'Purple Rain', 'Siss', and 'I Wanna Be Your Lover'.

Then, The Clash, which is the only group on this list, is known as an influential band that introduces British punk-rock music.

In addition, there is also a big contribution from GOspel singer Dr. Bobby Lee, hip rapper and hip rapper Shante, Maze vocalist total Beverly, and blues singer Taj Mahal.

Furthermore, those who received the Trustees Award were Erroll Garner, Glyn Johns, and Tania Léon.

Garner is a famous jazz pioneer and composer, with "Misty" as his best song, designated as standard jazz.
