MG to Launch Electric Sedan to Large SUV Next Year

JAKARTA - Morris Garage (MG) will add to its car line-up in the Chinese market, this certainty was expressed by MG SAIC General Manager Zhou Yan.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Monday, December 23, Zhou said that two models will be launched, namely filling the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) segments.

Zhou Yan said that the BEV segment will fill the sedan segment while the PHEV will play in the large SUV segment. Unfortunately, he did not mention details about the two models in question.

He only ensured that the car that will be launched next year will pack a British design combined with China. With the aim of making Chinese cars different throughout the world.

However, it is not yet clear whether the two cars will be launched globally, or only in China. But if we refer to the discussion, it will also be presented for the global market.

As is known, currently the MG model line includes the EXE181 electric hypercar, the Cyberster electric roadster. MG also has other sedans such as the MG5, MG6, MG5 Scorpio, and MG7. While for the SUV segment there are One, ZS, and ES5.

If the two models in question are launched for the global market, it is also possible that they will be present in Indonesia, considering that some of the models are imported intact from China.

MG in Indonesia itself currently has various car models, and will launch a new model again in 2025. It is said that there is an MG 5 GT facelift model that will be presented and will also bring PHEV, namely S5, and will also present an MPV.
