KSEI Discloses Several Strategic Plans in 2025, One of which is System Updating
JAKARTA - PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) revealed several strategic plans that will be carried out in 2025, one of which is strengthening and updating existing systems.
KSEI's Director of Infrastructure and Information Management, Dharma Setyadi said that next year KSEI will continue to develop a number of programs that have been implemented throughout 2024, such as strengthening supervision both internally and through collaboration with other self-regulation organizations (SRO).
"The point is that later in terms of the system we have a strong monitoring process to see or analyze the ownership and mutations of securities that are indeed stored and recorded in the KSEI system," said Dharma at the KSEI 27th Anniversary celebration event in Jakarta on Monday, December 23.
Darma added that KSEI will also continue to develop EBUS e-GMS services and his party is currently waiting for regulations that will become the legal basis for the facility.
"So now it's actually ready, it's been developed. We just have to wait for the issuance of regulations or legal basis for us to do or govern the EBUS e-GMS. This will be included in one of the facilities in the E-KSEI system," he explained.
Furthermore, Darma said that KSEI will also develop digital reporting which is divided into two parts, namely the integration of the specifications of the effect recording system, which is related to the scope of the function, as well as integration for equitable effects.
According to Darma, these two aspects will be developed in an integrated manner in the registration process, with the aim of streamlining securities registration in the Indonesian capital market.
Then, Darma said that KSEI will also become a Local Operating Unit (LOU) to issue Legal Entity Identifiers (LEI) in Indonesia.
"So next year we will continue this program, now we have collaborated with GLEIF parties who coordinate internationally, and also we have obtained permission from the OJK to act as this LOU," he said.
Darma said that his party will also update or upgrade the C-BEST system, which is an integrated electronic platform used to record stock transactions and other securities.
"We plan to start in early 2025, then it is estimated that later we will see the progress, it will reach up to 2 years for the design, as well as its development, as well as testing of course before it is implemented," he explained.
In addition, Darma said, KSEI will also update the S-INVEST system for mutual funds, and it will take the next two years to develop it.
"Then, KSEI access will also upgrade, it will be integrated with existing services. We will upgrade the version of EASY KSEI, and one more ORCHID, this is online historical data that we have, we will also improve its performance, performance and capacity to support the implementation of the main tasks in this KSEI main system," he said.
Darma conveyed that in general, the updating of this system aims to improve system performance to be more relevant to current needs. The improvements that occur in the market, such as increasing the number of investors and transactions, must be well accommodated by the KSEI system.
"Currently, we have accommodated more than sufficient capacity, but we are still anticipating future developments. And we are also following technological developments, up-to-date so that our system always uses the most updated technology," he concluded.
