Dozens Of Members Of The DKI DPRD Are Not Visible Even Though The Contents Of The List Are Present, The Plenary Meeting Of Discors Twice

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta DPRD suspended the plenary meeting today. This had to be done because dozens of members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD were not present in the plenary meeting room even though they had filled the attendance precession before the meeting began.

As a result, the decision-making forum cannot be implemented because it has not yet reached the quorum.

Originally, the DPRD and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government would ratify the Raperda on the Management of Domestic Wastewater, the Raperda on the Establishment of PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung, the Raperda on Regional Capital Participation of PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung, and the Raperda on Amendments to Regional Regulation Number 9 of 2018 concerning PT MRT Jakarta.

Before the meeting began, the chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Khoirudin, read out the number of council members who filled the presence. The number of members present was 73 out of a total of 106 council members.

Arriving at the decision to ratify the draft regional regulation (Raperda), Khoirudin re-examined the number of DPRD members present in the room.

"Before asking for approval, I want to first miss the presence of each faction. I ask that what I mention is that all of the factions are established," said Khorudin at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building Monday, December 23.

Apparently, the number of council members who attended after being recalculated in person was only 60 people. Dozens of DPRD members only filled in their attendance signatures but were not in the room during the plenary meeting.

Khoriudin then summoned every party faction chairman to come to the DPRD leadership table to discuss this. Khoirudin asked all members of his faction to attend the room.

Deputy Chairman of the DKI DPRD Basri Baco also reminded all party factions that members of the DPRD who have not come immediately follow, especially the factions whose members are few.

"The empty factions such as PKB, PSI, PDIP, please help us, are still lacking 12. Because we have to apply the rules that we make ourselves, the contents of which are 2 per 3 physical presences, not signatures," said Baco.

The plenary meeting was then suspended for about 20 minutes to wait for DPRD members who had not attended. After the meeting was reopened, it turned out that the number of DPRD members who followed was still not enough to meet the quorum 2 per 3 of the total 106 council members.

"We still have less than 4 people. If we don't manage to bring friends, then we have 2 hours of the first option. After that, if we also can't bring friends, then we have to postpone it for 3 days," said Baco.

Finally, the chairman of the DKI DPRD, Khoriudin, decided to return to suspend the meeting for the second time for an hour. Khoriudin again reminded the faction leaders to be able to present members who have not arrived.
