Commemorating Mother's Day, Film Song Cinta For Mama Holds Special Screening
JAKARTA - The film Song Cinta Untuk Mama (LCUM), held a special screening right on Mother's Day, December 22, 2024. The event was held as a form of appreciation for a mother's severe struggle, starting from being pregnant to undergoing the delivery process.
LCUM producer and film writer Executive Peter Taslim explained that mother is the strongest and most loving human figure who is willing to sacrifice his life for the sake of his baby. Therefore, he felt the need to do something on that special day ahead of the release of his latest big screen in theaters.
"This film was written and made aimed at respecting mothers in Indonesia, because the strongest human being is a woman, namely our mother where she fought with her life from the beginning in the womb until she gave birth. Mother's love has existed since we were in the womb," said Peter Taslim.
The film LCUM tells the story of a woman with a Balinese cultural background. In addition to displaying traditional beauty and Balinese nature, the big screen produced by Kevin J Permana also has many positive messages on the storyline.
Taking the shooting process for about 15 days in Bali, LCUM had experienced several obstacles, especially regarding the location of the shooting. The production house must meet the heads of local customs to obtain a permit to shoot at the desired location.
"In addition to the issue of permission, one of our actors Jenny Zhang had an accident while shooting the film LCUM," said Peter.
Peter, who is known as a national athlete in Judo, certainly has more challenges because he made his debut as Executive Producer and Writer at the same time in one film. However, he lived it with enthusiasm because of his love for the national big screen industry.
"Of course this is something new for me, because since writing the story of this film, it has taken a lot of time to celebrate until morning. In the past, I was a national judo athlete in the background, but I like films and I saw many local films. In my opinion, there are very few wide screens of family education, so I try to make this film hopefully it can be accepted in the country by Indonesian film lovers," he said.
The film directed by Hasto Broto, tells the story of the love of two people with different statuses that were not approved by Krisna's parents (Risky Hanggono) because the Indira background (Jenny Zhang) was not clear about his family, until Indira was pregnant with Krisna's child.
Krisna's family, who match Krisna with Rani (Cokorde Trisna), did not get descendants from the matchmaking, until finally wanted to take Indira's son, Kayla (Afsheena Zerina), who he wanted to defend from Krisna's family.
The song Cinta for Mama, starring Jenny Zhang, Rizky Hanggono, Afsheena, Ayu Laksmi, Niluh Djelantik and Raissa Anggiani, is scheduled to hit theaters starting January 29, 2024.
