Harry Kane Responds To The Magdeburg Tragedy That Cancels Bayern Munich Christmas Event

JAKARTA - The Magdeburg Tragedy broke out an hour before the Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzieg match at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, December 21, 2024, early morning WIB.

A deadly attack on Germany's Magdeburg Christmas market killed five people and injured some 200 people.

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane also highlighted the tragedy that gave a new perspective.

The Briton shared a heart-tightening tribute in a post on X.

"Hearing the news of the tragedy in Magdeburg makes things clearer. At night like this, football is not the most important thing."

"My thoughts and condolences are with all those affected by this terrible tragedy," Kane wrote.

According to a Reuters report, the attack was carried out by a 50-year-old Saudi Arabian doctor who had lived in Germany for a long time.

He hit people at the Magdeburg Christmas market in his car. The perpetrator has also been arrested by the local police and is being investigated regarding the motive for the attack.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane lives with his family on the Isar River, near Munich. The area is dubbed Beverly Hills Bavaria.

The tragedy also made plans for a Christmas ceremony after the Bayer Munich vs Leipzig match at the Allianz Arena was canceled. The club replaced it with a copyright.
