Bogor City Police Reveals Case Of Trafficking In Persons, 3 Suspects Arrested
BOGOR Kapolresta Bogor Kota, Polda Jabar, Kombes Bismo Teguh Prakoso, held a press conference regarding the disclosure of the Case of Trafficking in Persons (TPPO) at the Bogor City Police Headquarters, Jl. Captain Muslihat, Bogor City, last Thursday.
This case occurred on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in the Cibogor Village area, Central Bogor District, Bogor City. The crime was successfully revealed thanks to the report of the victim's mother, ZN (15), who reported the trafficking of people involving three suspects.
The three suspects arrested were ARRZ alias B (21), who played a role in inviting victims to work as well as promoting or offering victims. WD (19), who was tasked with managing the money from exploiting victims and FSS (23), who contributed to promoting or offering victims.
According to the Police Chief, the incident began when suspect ARRZ alias B offered a job to victim ZN at a restaurant. However, in reality, the victim was sexually exploited at a rate of Rp. 250,000 to Rp. 300,000 in the Mangga Besar area, Jakarta. The suspects used the MiChat application to promote victims.
"The suspect also promised the victim a salary of Rp. 2,500,000 if the victim was willing to serve 32 male guests," said Kombes Bismo Teguh Prakoso.
The suspects are now charged with Article 2 Paragraph 1 of Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons, and/or Article 76F in conjunction with Article 83 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection. The maximum penalty for the perpetrators is 15 years in prison.
