Persebaya Criticizes Referee And VAR Who Are Less Obscene When Against Borneo FC
JAKARTA - Persebaya Surabaya officials criticized the field referee and assistant Video Asistent Referee (VAR) who were less observant in seeing the violation of Borneo FC player Ronaldo Rodrigues to Bruno Moreira in the first half.
"The referee, VAR Aprisman Aranda, also allowed Ronaldo Rodrigues' strong foul on Bruno Moreira in the first half in the penalty box. From the video recording of the Persebaya media team, even from Indosiar's replay, Ronaldo's hands were clearly seen stopping Bruno," said Persebaya Media Officer Jonathan Yohovinno, in Surabaya, Friday night.
According to him, Tommi's position is ideal enough to see the violation, especially VAR referee Aprisman who saw it from the recording of the match.
"Unfortunately, both of them just let it go," he said. "Persebaya is currently collecting other recordings of referee leadership that shouldn't be, of course, referees on the field or VAR referees."
He is optimistic that the Indonesian football federation and the League 1 competition are the best compared to the previous implementation.
"Thank you to the chairman of PSSI Mr. Erick Thohir who led the transformation of Indonesian football with courage," said Jonathan.
He hopes that fraud in the field and the use of VAR technology must be cleaned up.
"The use of VAR, technology that should be able to realize fair and sporting football matches," said Jonathan.
He said his team did not want the transformation of Indonesian football, which had been very good, to be tainted by "structured and systematic cheating practices like tonight."
"Don't let Indonesian football supporters and stakeholders lose confidence in League 1 and PSSI," he added.
