Karawang High Speed Train Station Officially Operates In 4 Days, Serves 20 Trips

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) will operate KarawangASH Station to serve passenger ups and downs starting December 24.

The opening of this station is also in order to welcome the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year (Nataru) holidays.

General Manager of KCIC Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunnisa revealed thatELAH Karawang Station has previously been operating since October 2023 to serveASH operations.

However, starting December 24, 2024, this station will officially serve passenger ups and downs.

According to Eva, the operation of the Karawang Station will provide easy trips for the people of Karawang and its surroundings who will be active.

"The process of preparing for the opening of the Karawang Station has also been directly reviewed by the Vice President, he is very supportive because the opening of the KarawangASH Station will provide wider accessibility for the public to feel a fast and comfortable journey," Eva said in an official statement, Friday, December 20.

In the early stages, said Eva, KarawangASH Station will serve 20 train schedules, consisting of 10 departures from HalimASH Station and 10 departures from Tegalluar Summarecon Station or Padalarang.

By usingASH, continued Eva, the Halim-Karawang route and vice versa will be taken in just 15 minutes, much faster if you use a car that takes about 1 hour.

Meanwhile, Eva continued, the Karawang-Padalarang route will be reached in just 20 minutes, while if you use a car it can reach 1.5 to 2 hours.

Currently, said Eva, his party is in the process of finalizing the ticketing scheme for the new route.

Therefore, Eva reminded the public to continue waiting for the latest official information from the company regarding the procedures and time for selling theASH route from and to Karawang Station.
