The Long Drama Of The Search For Deputy Governor Anies Was Closed By The Election Of Riza Patria

JAKARTA - Ahmad Riza Patria was elected as Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta in the voting process at the DKI DPRD Building. The Gerindra politician defeated his opponent, Nurmansjah Lubis from PKS.

"Ahmad Riza Patria's first serial number received 81 votes. Nurmansjah Lubis' number two received 17 votes. A total of 98 valid votes. Two invalid votes," said Chairman of the Election Committee (Panlih) Farazandi Fidiniansyah at the DPRD DKI Building, Central Jakarta, Monday , April 6.

DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan congratulated the people who would accompany his leadership in managing Jakarta until 2022.

"The vote counting selection has been completed and Mr. Ahmad Riza Patria was elected. I congratulate him and God willing, we can work together well," Anies said after the event.

The election event was chaired by DKI Jakarta DPRD Chairman Prasetio Edi Marsudi and attended by DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan. The voting process was held using a voting system in the six voting booths provided. DPRD members are summoned one by one to vote, under the supervision of two witnesses.

The number of DPRD members who elect as many as one hundred people. Meanwhile, there were six PSI faction members who were not allowed to use their voting rights because they were late filling out the attendance list. This is in accordance with the decision conveyed by the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetio Edi Marsudi, that members who fill in the attendance list after 10:00 WIB are prohibited from voting.

"The total (voters) from today's election is 100. It is agreed," said Prasetio while tapping the hammer at the DPRD Building, Jalan Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 6.

The atmosphere of the election for the Deputy Governor of DKI by the DPRD (Special)

Contacted separately, PSI faction member Justin Adrian explained why his party was late in filling out the attendance list. He said, actually the PSI faction was present at the location before the event started. However, PSI has agreed not to fill out the attendance list until there is certainty that the DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor election will be held openly to the public via live streaming.

Because, previously, the DKI Deputy Governor's election committee (panlih) stated that he would not include live streaming publications to the public on the grounds that it was not regulated in the disciplinary regulations (tatib). However, the decision finally changed at the last second.

Thus, the DPRD asked the DKI Provincial Government for assistance in holding a live streaming via YouTube and broadcast starting at 10.30 WIB. PSI finally filled out the attendance list after receiving this assurance. However, the consequences for DPRD members who were late filling out the attendance list did not change. The six DPRD members are Justin Adrian, Idris Ahmad, Anthony Winza, Viani Limardi, William Aditya Sarana, and Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo.

"The last absence is at 10.00 WIB, but the live streaming (new) starts at 10.30 WIB. Our principle is that there is no way to be absent without certainty to the public. Actually we had time to enter, but someone reminded us that the last absence was at 10.00 WIB," Justin said via connection. telephone.

In fact, there were two other PSI faction members who were also late filling in the attendance list, namely Eneng Malianasari and August Hamonangan. However, because both of them are members of the election committee (panlih) and election witnesses, they are allowed to vote.

Even though he could not use his voting rights, Justin admitted that the six PSI faction members did not regret being late in filling out the attendance list. "PSI itself has no regrets, because we have to wait for this transparency issue. This is the principal for us," he concluded.

The drama of fighting for seats ends

With this result, the DKI DPRD will then submit a letter regarding the minutes and files for the election of the elected DKI Deputy Governor to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) through the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian. Then, Jokowi will inaugurate Riza as Deputy Governor of DKI.

With the election of Riza as Sandiaga Uno's replacement in the leadership of DKI Jakarta Province, it also ended the prolonged drama of the Deputy Governor election.

We remember, initially, PKS and Gerindra agreed to nominate two PKS cadres, namely Agung Yulianto and Ahmad Syaikhu as candidates for Deputy Governor of DKI. Both of them have even implemented a fit and proper test.

However, the election agenda has never been held. Political lobbying between PKS and DPPRD was reportedly deadlocked. Finally, the two candidates were punished by new candidates, namely Ahmad Riza Patria and Nurmansjah Lubis.

Riza himself has been elected as a member of parliament for two terms and now serves as Deputy Chair of Commission V of the DPR-RI. Riza has also participated in the general election for the Governor of DKI Jakarta as a candidate for Deputy Governor alongside the candidate for Governor, Hendardji Soepandji, in 2012. Meanwhile, Nurmansjah has served as a member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD for two terms. He was a member of the DKI DPRD for the 2004-2009 and 2009-2013 periods.
