Irwansyah And Aryono Miranat Did Not Participate In The Selection Of PBSI Coaches
JAKARTA Only Irwansyah and Aryono Miranat did not participate in the technical training selection opened by the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI).
Deputy Chairperson I of PBSI, Taufik Hidayat, said that all the coaches who were previously in the Cipayung PBSI National Training Center included their files, except for the two names.
"Except for Irwansyah and Aryono, the others registered, both technical and physical trainers. The physical coaches were the same. We opened all of them, not just take them," he said.
PBSI has just announced a total of 20 new coaches' names to fill the five existing sectors. The list consists of the main coach and the respective assistants.
These names were selected through an open recruitment process. Anyone who wants to become a coach, is welcome to enter the file into the recruitment team.
A total of 51 names also participated in the selection, including the coaches who this year were at the PBSI National Training Center. All of these names then went through an assessment and interview process.
Taufik said that there were no deposit words in all these processes. He emphasized that all selected coaches are purely eligible for the predetermined requirements.
"There is no deposit. I don't want to. You can check, you can ask the current coaches. The recruitment system yesterday and what kind of assessment is fine," said Taufik.
Irwansyah previously coached in the men's singles sector. His work contract with PBSI expires at the end of December 2024. He decided to accept an offer from India.
Irwansyah's position will now be filled by Mulyo Handoyo. The former coach of Taufik Hidayat is concurrently another head coach at the PBSI National Training Center.
Aryono is a veteran coach for the men's doubles within the PBSI National Training Center. His position will be replaced by Antonius Budi Ariantho, who previously served as coach at the PB club Djarum Kudus.
