KPK Leaders For The 2024-2029 Period Get Information From Nawawi Pomolango Et Al During Induction

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Fitroh Rochahyanto said a number of information had been conveyed by the KPK leadership for the 2019-2024 period when the induction or debriefing was carried out for three days, 17-19 December. They have recorded it to be used as input in the future.

"We, the leadership and the KPK Council have participated in the induction. We have received various assignments and performance updates, the achievements are also challenges for each work unit at the KPK," Fitroh said in a press conference after the handover of the position (certijab) at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, December 20.

Various informations were also opened by Nawawi Pomolango et al. However, Fitroh did not elaborate further on that matter.

"We have also received a lot of information sharing from the previous KPK leaders and Councils," he said.

"The results of the induction, we will note and discuss it together for further improvement steps," continued the former Director of Prosecution of the KPK.

"This improvement step will be carried out while maintaining solidity," said KPK Deputy Chair Ibnu Basuki Widodo. "In order to increase public trust and the dignity of the KPK as well as to continue various strategic achievements have been achieved," he said.

Ibnu then explained that there are five strategies to improve the performance of the KPK in the future. First, increasing the effectiveness of the handling oflerkara which provides optimal asset recovery.

Second, the KPK will increase collaboration and synergy between law enforcers. Then, improve the system and governance through prevention efforts through the duties and functions of monitoring, reporting and examination of LHKPN, gratification and public services, as well as anti-corruption in business entities.

Fourth, the KPK will spread anti-corruption values at every level of formal and informal education, increase the role of the community, education and training, as well as socialization and campaign activities.

Finally, internal institutional improvements will also be carried out. Thus, in the future, it is hoped that the KPK will remain independent and professional.

Previously reported, the leadership and the KPK Supervisory Board for the period 2024-2029 took the oath of office by President Prabowo Subianto on Monday, December 16 or before his visit abroad. This procession is held at the State Palace, Jakarta.

The KPK leadership for the 2024-2029 period was filled by Setyo Budiyanto as the Chair of the KPK and Fitroh Rohcahyanto, Ibnu Basuki Widodo, Johanis Tanak and Agus Joko Pramono as his representatives.

In addition, five members of the KPK supervisory board (dewas) have also officially changed. This position was held by Gusrizal, Benny Jozua Mamoto, Chisca Mirawati, Sumpeno and Wisnu Baroto.
