PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (MMKI) said that during the last seven, it had sent 400 thousand vehicles to 50 destination countries (exports). Obviously, this achievement cannot be underestimated for the automotive industry in Indonesia.

President & Chief Executive Officer of PT MMKI, Takao Kato said that export activities that have reached hundreds of thousands can certainly make a real contribution to economic growth in Indonesia.

"In seven years, we produce vehicles not only for Indonesia but also for export. As many as 400 thousand units for 50 countries, this is a real contribution to the Indonesian economy, I think so," said Takao Kato, quoted from ANTARA, Friday, December 20.

He further explained that Indonesia has an important role for the overall growth of the Mitsubishi brand, one of which is the ASEAN market which still hopes for production in Indonesia.

For this reason, his party will also commit to increasing the volume of MMKI production for more in the coming years. Not only that, to refresh the automotive market in Indonesia, his party will also continue to present products that are popular in the Indonesian market.

"Now I will increase the production volume of MMKI more, and we will introduce many new models including electric ones such as hybrids," he said.

For the export market, at least there are several vehicle models from MMKI that have been exported, such as Mitsubishi Xpander, Xforce, Pajero Sport and Triton.

"MMKI is one of the most important factories for Mitsubishi Motors, so we will bring a new model so that MMKI will develop in Indonesia," he concluded.
