PHE Finds 1.8 TCF Natural Gas Resources In Central Sulawesi
JAKARTA - In the last seven years, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) recorded natural gas inplace resources of more than 1.8 trillion cubic feet (TCF) or almost 320 million barrels of oil (MMBOE) from exploration discoveries in the Central Sulawesi region.
The exploration findings stem from the discovery of gas in Wolai-East Wolai, Morea, and most recently from Tedong's structure which was drilled in 2024.
President Director of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, Chalid Said Salim said, the discovery of this resource is proof of Pertamina's commitment to increasing reserves and efforts to meet natural gas needs in line with economic growth and supporting efforts to achieve national production targets where gas is a source of environmentally friendly transitional energy.
