KPK is Still Investigating PT Jembatan Nusantara Acquisition Process Through ASDP Commercial and Service Director

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate the process of business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero).

The planning to the implementation was investigated by Muhammad Yusuf Hadi as the commercial and service director of the state-owned company who was questioned on Thursday, December 19. He was questioned by investigators at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

"Witnesses were present and investigators studied witness statements regarding the acquisition process of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP starting from the preparation stage to the implementation of the acquisition," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika to reporters in a written statement, Friday, December 20.

Yusuf Hadi is one of four suspects named in this case although it has not been officially announced. He is entangled together with the President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), Ira Puspadewi; Harry MAC as Director of Planning and Development; and Adjie as the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara.

In investigating the planning and implementation process of the business cooperation and acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara, investigators have also summoned Harry MAC as the Director of Planning and Development of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). He was questioned as a witness on Wednesday, December 18.

As previously reported, the KPK continues to investigate allegations of corruption related to the business cooperation (KSU) and acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). The involvement of internal parties other than those who have been named as suspects continues to be investigated.

The anti-corruption commission said that this case caused the state to lose up to IDR 1.27 trillion and is still changing. This is because the calculation is still being carried out.

A VOI source said that this loss arose because the acquisition process of PT Jembatan Nusantara was not in accordance with the rules. Reported from a number of news reports, PT ASDP bought PT Jembatan Nusantara in February 2022 with a value of IDR 1.3 trillion.

This state-owned company then controlled 100 percent of PT Jembatan Nusantara shares with 53 ships under management. "The process (in carrying out business cooperation and acquisition, ed.) has no legal basis," he said.

"So all acquisition rules were violated," still quoted from the same source.

In addition to asking for information from witnesses, the KPK has confiscated 15 land and building assets from the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara, Adjie. Its value reaches hundreds of billions of rupiah and is located in the Pondok Indah, Menteng, Bogor City and Surabaya City areas.
