Polda Metro Jaya Deploys 4,357 Joint Personnel For Security For Christmas-New Year Holidays

Polda Metro Jaya deployed 4,357 joint personnel consisting of elements of the TNI/Polri, Satpol PP, Dishun DKI Jakarta to Basarnas in order to secure the 2025 Christmas and New Year holidays.

"If this year the total number of police and TNI is a total of 4,357 combined, later, thousands of these personnel will be deployed at several points in Jakarta and its surroundings to secure Christmas and New Year's 2025 activities," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto after a coordination meeting in Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, December 19.

Karyoto also explained that this Thursday's coordination meeting was in order to equalize perceptions to work together so that everyone was in a maximum preparedness condition.

"We also hope that with the presence of members of the National Police, Satpol PP, TNI in the field will provide, firstly, comfort that many officers in the field, secondly caution because we want, hopefully we can 'zero accident' (nil accident) in every way," he said.

Karyoto also appealed to the public to celebrate entertainment during Christmas-New Year, there is no need to overdo it.

"We hope that no one gets drunk entering entertainment venues, no one carries sharp weapons and hopefully we are grateful that in the past few weeks the brawl has subsided thanks to cooperation, the TNI, Satpol PP are active patrols," he said.

Karyoto also said that his party would carry out extra monitoring at entertainment venues or community activities to gather.

"In addition, his party will also make every effort to prevent such as convoys. We will provide protection. This means that when the time is over, we urge you to disperse," he said.

Karyoto also appealed to the public to be aware of bad weather at this time, such as wind rain and others on New Year's Eve.

"If it is those who want to come to (the event) are welcome, especially those who wear motorbikes, wear a good helmet, wear a jacket and don't rush, take care of yourself properly, be careful when driving," he said.
