Prosecutor's Office Confiscates Hundreds Of Fake Stamples In Corruption Cases Of The DKI Culture Service, Allegedly Disbursement Mode Budget

The Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) also confiscated hundreds of fake stamps from a series of searches by the Jakarta Special Regional Provincial Culture Office and four other locations.

The search is known to be a follow-up to the investigation of alleged irregularities in the activity budget.

"Meanwhile (the number of stamps) is estimated to be hundreds," said Head of the Legal Information Section of the Jakarta Prosecutor's Office, Syahroni Hasibuan to VOI, Wednesday, December 18.

From the temporary investigation, hundreds of fake stamps were used to make the impression of organizing an activity. Thus, the budget for the activities of the Jakarta Culture Service for the 2023 period can be disbursed.

"Yes, that's right. It's as if the activities are carried out as evidenced by the stamp to disburse the budget even though the fact is that there is absolutely no activity," he said.

Regarding the location of the confiscation of hundreds of fake stamps, Syahroni said it was not from the Cultural Service Office. Rather, from the other two locations, namely the GR-Pro EO Office and the witness's house.

"Hundreds of art group stamps were confiscated from the Office, at the EO office, and the ASN house," said Syahroni.

In the series of searches, investigators also confiscated other evidence, one of which was Rp1 billion in cash.

There are also several other evidences such as electronic goods and documents. Electronic evidence is said to be being investigated further.

"The confiscation of Rp1 billion," said Syahroni.

The series of searches were carried out on Wednesday, December 18. The basis for the search is related to allegations of corruption in the form of irregularities in activity funds worth Rp150 billion.

In addition to the offices of the Culture Office of the Special Region of Jakarta, four other locations were also searched, namely, the EO GR-Pro Office in the South Jakarta area and three residential houses, two houses each in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta. Then, the other is located in Matraman, East Jakarta.
