Gun-wielding burglars in Palembang were attacked by residents, one perpetrator was beaten and given ‘Sports Greetings’

Palembang Police, South Sumatra arrested a firearm robber from the tantrums of residents in Lorok Pakjo, Ilir Barat I District. One perpetrator was battered and beaten by a mob, aka given 'sports greetings'.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Ilir Barat Police, I Palembang, Iptu Muslim, said the incident began when the victim arrived at the victim's place of work and parked his motorbike in the office parking lot.

The victim then felt suspicious of a two-wheeled vehicle driven by two unknown people traveling several times in the office alley.

When the victim peeked through the window, the victim saw that one of the perpetrators had pryed the victim's vehicle so that the victim screamed and was heard by local residents.

The two perpetrators then fled and fired firearms at the victim, but fortunately it did not hit the victim.

"One perpetrator is then surrounded by residents and can be arrested with injuries to the head and body and one other perpetrator is still being chased," he said.

Currently, perpetrator A has been secured by the Ilir Barat I Police and taken to Bhayangkara Hospital for medical treatment.
