Appearing Gemilang, Amad Diallo In Advanced Contract Talks With Manchester United
JAKARTA - Manchester United are in further negotiations to renew Amad Diallo's contract.
Ivory Coast's young winger's contract expires on June 30, 2025, but the Red Devils have the option to extend it for the following season.
Both sides have been negotiating for weeks to try to reach a long-term deal. Negotiations are underway with few details remaining.
According to ESPN, Manchester United's intention is to inaugurate a contract renewal before the end of 2024.
The 22-year-old made headlines on the weekend after playing an important role in the Red Devils over Manchester City.
He became an actor in Manchester United's two goals, scored one goal and created the first goal, in that 2-1 match.
Manchester United sees Diallo as a player for both the future and the present. The contract update was one of the first topics discussed with Ruben Amorim when he took over the coaching chair from Erik ten Hag in early November 2024.
Amad Diallo, who has scored two goals and six assists this season, started his career in Atalanta's young players and was recruited by Manchester United in 2021.
The Red Devils decided to loan it to Rangers and Sunderland to continue its development. However, they brought him back last season to become a first-team player.
