Create a nose as the smallest feature on the face of the character. The nose will overlap with the vertical line you are drawing. To make it clearer, make it darker than vertical lines or remove vertical lines around the nose.

Sometimes the masculine anime character has a more striking nose, but not all of them. If you want the character's nose to appear clearer, describe the horizontal line below the vertical line as the bottom of the character's nose. In addition, make a triangle-shaped shadow next to the nose, so that it seems as if light comes from the side of the character. For certain anime styles, you don't need to draw your nose.
