McGregor Leaks Boxing Duel Plan With Logan Paul
JAKARTA Conor McGregor prioritizes returning to the boxing ring and holding an exhibition duel against Logan Paul instead of taking the octagon for the UFC fight.
The former two-division champion fighter dismissed rumors of a duel with UFC featherweight king Ilia Topuria while confirming clashes with Logan through X on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
"Rumor about the fight with (Ilia Topuria) is not true," wrote the Irish mixed martial arts fighter, quoted by MMA Fighting.
"I'm in an initial agreement with Ambani's (Mukesh) family to face Logan Paul in an exhibition boxing match in India."
"I have agreed. After that, I will try to return to the octagon," said McGregor again.

According to reports, the tycoon has a company engaged in various sectors including energy, petrochemicals, natural gas, entertainment, telecommunications, and much more.
Ambani actually has no history of promoting boxing even though the company is large and reaches all of India. However, his company has connections to the entertainment industry.
The Ambani family in July 2024 made headlines around the world because of Anant's son's marriage to the winning merchant. Reports estimate the marriage could cost up to one billion US dollars.
A number of top artists such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Pitbull, Shahrukh Khan, and Deepika Padukone were also present at the wedding party.
McGregor, 36, has not fought at the UFC since July 2021 when he suffered a terrible broken leg in the trilogy against Dustin Poirier.
Logan Paul and McGregor have also been involved in the war of words since last year. Paul even made scathing comments against McGregor as he prepared to fight Danis.
"Conor McGregor is an ordinary MMA fighter and a bad boxer. I'm going to beat the guy out, then I'll beat him all out," he said at the time.
Thus, if their duel is really going to happen, it is estimated that it will go hot. So far Logan has not responded to the rumors.
