West Nias Shaken By Magnitude 5.6 Earthquake

JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 shook West Nias, April 14, at 5:55 p.m. Thus conveyed by BMKG.

Based on BMKG's website, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km 0.14 N - 96.51 E. The epicenter was in the Sea 140 km Southwest, West Nias.

Until this news is revealed it is not yet known whether there was damage or not. This earthquake did not trigger a tsunami.

However, BMKG reminds the public to remain vigilant. "BMKG advice, be careful of possible aftershocks.
