Central PBVSI Godok Rules Of Salary Cap For Proliga
JAKARTA The Indonesian Volleyball Association (PBVSI) is currently working on a salary limit or salary stamp for teams competing in the Proliga.
The general chairman of PBVSI, Imam Sudjarwo, said that the team was working on the regulation. The process has been going on for more than four months.
"We have to consider various aspects because from various countries we are different, so we will determine which one. That is, so as not to harm athletes and clubs," he said.
Currently, the rules or agreements that limit the amount of money spent by each Proliga team to pay players and their staff do not exist at all.
This makes a number of clubs free to pay some of their players at high numbers and other players at lower points. This inequality is considered completely unhealthy.

Imam admits that currently clubs are still free to practice this because there are no regulations that bind them. Therefore, he hopes that this rule will be completed soon.
"I can't convey it yet because it needs to be discussed again. Early next year it might be finished so that for 2026 this rule can be used," he said.
Previously, former President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) criticized through social media X regarding the absence of salaries stamps for teams competing in the Proliga.
In his tweet, the owner of the Jakarta volleyball club LavAni said that the regulation needed to be considered immediately by PBVSI to prevent salary inequality between local players and foreign players.
SBY assessed that the increase in the salaries of foreign players could lead to demotivation among volleyball clubs. The reason is, not all teams are able to spend a large amount of money to be able to compete.
