JAKARTA - The death row convict for drug smuggling, Mary Jane Veloso was finally taken from the Class IIA Women's Prison Pondok Bambu, East Jakarta on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 night, at around 19.15 WIB.
With a tight guard, the death row convict Mary Jane was escorted out of the main door of the Pondok Bambu Women's Prison.
The death row convict Mary Jane also welcomed the media crew who had been waiting for her in front of the fence of the Pondok Bambu Women's Prison.
"I am very happy. Thank you to Mr. President Prabowo, to Minister Yusril and all Indonesian people, thank you very much. God bless," said death row convict Mary Jane to the media crew, Tuesday, December 17, evening.
The death row convict Mary Jane also admitted that she brought mementos while she was in detention in a number of prisons in Indonesia.
"I brought a memento from here. Guitar, rosario, knitted, clothes were given by friends," he said.
After expressing his feelings before the media crew, the death row convict Mary Jane finally entered a black mini bus to go to Soekarno Hatta airport.
