Himbara Will Close 1.09 Million MSME Debts, Early Stages Starting January 2025

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir gave the green light for the program to delete books/credit or debts from MSME actors submitted to the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara).

This statement was made by Erick after meeting with MSME Minister Maman Abdurrahman at the BUMN Ministry office, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 17.

"We as the Ministry of Government are the supporting of many ministries. And I have also conveyed from the start that we are very open to supporting programs. Because indeed the concept of ourselves joining KPI is a mutual success," said Erick.

Moreover, Erick's sambunt, President Prabowo Subianto also received attention regarding the elimination of this MSME debt book. Therefore, the government is working together to realize the program.

"Moreover, Mr. Prabowo really emphasized how this MSME program really had to be encouraged and had to be really successful," he said.

Early Stages Starting In 2025

Meanwhile, MSME Minister Maman Abdurrahman revealed that currently there are 1,097,000 MSME players who still have debts in Himbara.

"Entrepreneurs or MSME activists who get this utang removal facility are more or less based on the data we have reviewed together with Himbara Bank, there are approximately 1,097,000 potentials. This is still plus minus ups and downs, this is what we are reviewing," said Maman.

Furthermore, Maman explained that the realization of book deletion will be divided into two stages. Where the first stage will be realized in January 2025, and the second stage after March 2025.

"God willing, in January we will divide it into two stages into two stages of realization of the elimination of this receivable. We will realize the first Stage in January, which we will also report to the President regarding it, then the second stage after March," he said.
