Mercedes To Introduce EQS 450 SUV Early Next Year, Joined By CKD

JAKARTA - Mercedes-Benz is preparing to launch the EQS 450 SUV model for the Indian market on January 9. Thus, this expands the line of electric vehicles from the German manufacturer globally.

Launching from Autocar India, Tuesday, December 17, this SUV will not only be presented to this country, but India will also be the first outside the United States (US) to assemble the EQS SUV.

The electric SUV is designed for buyers who prioritize extra cabin space that pampers their users. Unfortunately, the price of this luxury car has not yet been leaked to the public ahead of its launch.

Of course it still needs to be seen how this brand will cost. As an illustration, his brother, who is more compact EQE SUV, is priced at 10.590 million rupees or equivalent to Rp1.998 billion.

The entry-level type in the EQS SUV lineup has a luxurious design with a closed jar that extends to the bottom of the front bumper. The front phase is equipped with LED lighting being bridged by a lightbar that crosses the frontnose.

The silhouette almost resembles the EQS 580 type but the 21-inch rim is refreshing, making the look different.

Moving to the inside, a chair is presented with a special layer which is a standard feature. Then, Mercedes-Benz is now presenting the Energizing Air Control Plus.

State-of-the-art features are also presented such as a 56-inch Hyperscreen consisting of a 12.3-inch instrumented cluster and a front passenger screen and 17.7-inch each infotainment touchscreen.

For passengers, the manufacturer presents it with an 11.6-inch twin back infotainment screen combined with a 5-speaker Burmester audio, 360-degree camera, multi-zone automatic temperature controller, and a level 2, and 9-airbag ADAS system.

The EQS 450 SUV with a 5-SEATER configuration is combined by a 544 dk electric motor and an 858 Nm torque combined with a large 122 kWh battery. This can charge the car from 10 to 80 percent within 31 minutes using a DC fast-charger 200 kW.
