JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) handed over the case file of former Social Minister Juliari Peter Batubara to the Jakarta Corruption Criminal Court (Tipikor).

"KPK prosecutor Ikhsan Fernandi Z handed over the case files of the defendants, namely Juliari Peter Batubara, Matheus Joko Santoso, and Adi Wahyono to PN Tipikor Central Jakarta," said Acting Kpk Spokesman for Enforcement Ali Fikri, Wednesday, April 14.

In this case, Juliari and Adi will be tried on two charges. Then, both are also suspected of violating Article 11 Jo Article 18 Law Tipikor Jo Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 Criminal Code Jo Article 64 paragraph (1) Penal Code.

As for Matheus, will be charged with Article 12 letter (b) Jo Article 18 Law Tipikor Jo Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 Criminal Code Jo Article 64 paragraph (1) penal code or Article 11 Jo Article 18 Law Tipikor Jo Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 Criminal Code Jo Article 64 paragraph (1) Penal Code. Previously reported, KPK set a number of suspects related to alleged cases of social assistance corruption (bansos) packages of food for COVID-19 confectionery in jabodetabek area including former Mensos Juliari Peter Batubara.

The case began when Juliari appointed two commitment-making officials (PPK) Matheus Joko Santoso and Adi in the implementation of this project by direct appointment of partners.
