The Reason For PDIP To Fire Jokowi, Not Supporting Ganjar In The Presidential Election Until The Constitutional Court's Intervention Is Considered

The PDI-P has officially fired the 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and his son Gibran Rakabuming Raka and his son-in-law Bobby Nasution.

The reason PDIP fired Jokowi was because he did not follow the party's orders to support Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election and was considered to have intervened with the Constitutional Court (MK).

Jokowi's dismissal letter from PDIP is written in decree number 1649/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024 issued on December 4, 2024.

In the letter, it was stated that Jokowi had violated the party's articles of association / household budget (AD / ART) and violated the party's code of ethics and discipline.

Among them are by openly fighting PDIP's decision to support the presidential and vice presidential candidates pair Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD who were promoted by PDIP in the 2024 General Election.

"Brother Joko Widodo's actions and actions, as a PDIP cadre assigned by the party as President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2014-2019 and 2019-2024 service, have violated the party's AD/ART in 2019 as well as the party's code of ethics and discipline. By openly fighting against the Party's DPP decision regarding the support of presidential and vice presidential candidates Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD pairs promoted by PDIP in the 2024 election," the decree reads, as seen Monday, December 16.

In addition, Jokowi is also considered to support presidential and vice presidential candidates from other parties that are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition. In this case, it supports Prabowo Subianto who is paired with Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

PDIP also assessed that Jokowi had abused his power to intervene in the Constitutional Court (MK).

"As well as abusing power to intervene in the Constitutional Court, which was the beginning of the destruction of democratic systems, legal systems, and moral systems of life for the nation and state is a violation of party ethics and discipline, categorized as a serious violation," he continued.

Jokowi's dismissal letter was read out directly by the Chairman of the PDIP DPP in the Honorary Sector of the Komarudin Watubun Party through a video received by VOI, on Monday, December 16.

"I am Komarudin Watubun, Chairman of the PDI-P Honorary Division. Together, on December 16, 2024, I received a direct order from the Chairman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle to officially announce in accordance with the articles of association and the party's household budget, in front of all levels of the DPD Party Chair throughout Indonesia," said Komarudin accompanied by the Chairmen of the DPP PDIP throughout Indonesia.

"The Party DPP will announce the decision to dismiss Brother Joko Widodo, Brother Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and Brother Bobby Nasution, as well as 27 other members who were dismissed. As for the decree, I read as follows," continued Komarudin.

With this dismissal, Komarudin emphasized that Jokowi, Gibran and Bobby were prohibited from doing activities, serving on behalf of PDIP.

"This decree is valid from the date of stipulation, if in the future there is an error, it will be reviewed and corrected properly," he said.
