National Police Chief Deploys Detachment 88 To Celebrate Christmas 2024
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo deployed the Anti-terror Special Detachment (Densus) 88 in the security scheme for the 2024 Christmas celebration.
In the security scheme, later the National Police's Anti-terror Detachment 88 and other units will cooperate with relevant stakeholders.
"Densus will certainly cooperate with the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) in collaboration with the Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS), and the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) to carry out security more optimally," Sigit told reporters at PTIK, Monday, December 16.
With this collaboration, it is hoped that celebrations and the 2024 Christmas service will run safely.
In addition, in the security scheme, Sigit continued, the National Police together with the TNI and related stakeholders provided 2,794 posts with details, 1,852 security posts, 735 service posts, and 207 integrated posts.
Thousands of posts will later be alerted personnel in charge of securing 61,452 objects covering churches to tourist attractions.
"To secure 61,452 security objects, including churches, shopping centers, terminals, stations, ports, airports, tourist attractions, and objects for New Year's celebrations," said Sigit.
In addition to the security issue, Sigit said that there would be an increase in the number of people traveling at the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 moments. The increase reached 2.83 percent from the previous year.
"This means that approximately 110.6 million people, of course, this figure in the field can increase its realization," said Sigit.
