KPK Leaders For The 2024-2029 Period Will Invite Deputy For Satting Action To Discuss Priority Cases

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Setyo Budiyanto will invite the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution to sit down together after December 20. Evaluation of the completion of corruption cases will be carried out to determine priorities.

This was conveyed after being inaugurated at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday, December 16. Setyo said the move was a form of commitment to resolve corruption cases in the anti-corruption commission.

"Yes, we will definitely evaluate later, we will sit together with the deputy for prosecution," Setyo told reporters at the location.

"We adjust which ones we have to prioritize, which ones are stagnant, which ones are jammed, which ones are the priority scales," he continued.

Budi also said that the leadership for the 2024-2029 period would see the homework (PR) from the leadership for the 2019-2024 period. "Later, right, there will be a handover from the old official to the new one. Later we will review everything and that will certainly be the responsibility of the new leadership," he said.

As previously reported, President Prabowo Subianto has taken the oath of office of the Leader and Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for the period 2024-2029 today. However, they have just started working as of December 20 in accordance with Presidential Decree Number 161P/2024.

The five KPK leaders who took the oath of office were Setyo Budiyanto as the chairman and concurrently a member of the KPK. Then there were also four Deputy Chairmen of the KPK and concurrently members of the KPK, namely Agus Joko Pramono, Fitroh Rohcahyanto, Ibnu Basuki Widodo, and Johanis Tanak.

Meanwhile, the KPK Supervisory Board who was inaugurated were Gusrizal as Chairman and Council Members and four members, namely Chisca Mirawati, Benny Mamoto, Wisnu Baroto, and Sumpeno.
