Bogor City DPRD Chairman Encourages City Government To Maximize BTT Budget For Hydrometeorological Disaster Management
BOGOR Facing the potential for hydrometeorological disasters that are predicted to occur ahead of the Pilkada in Bogor City, Kodim 0606 Bogor City held a preparedness rally, Thursday, November 21. The ceremony was attended by Acting Mayor of Bogor Hery Antasari, Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD Adityawarman Adil, and all elements of the Bogor City Forkopimda.
After participating in the apple, the chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Adityawarman Adil, emphasized the DPRD's commitment to maintaining disaster security and preparedness in Bogor City with Forkopimda. He also asked the Bogor City Government to take advantage of the Unexpected Expenditure Budget (BTT) which has been allocated Rp95 billion for disaster management to the fullest.
The Bogor City DPRD has committed to encouraging the optimization of disaster management. For the 2024 fiscal year, we together with TAPD have allocated almost Rp100 billion in BTT to anticipate disasters. This is important so that all mitigation efforts can run effectively," said Adityawarman, who is familiarly called Adit.
Adit added that the DPRD does not only focus on budgeting, but also supports disaster prevention through socialization to the community. This step aims to minimize potential casualties and losses due to natural disasters.
"We will encourage rapid and tactical socialization to the people of Bogor City to remain alert, especially in the face of potential hydrometeorological disasters," said Adit.
The commander of Kodim 0606 Bogor City, Lt. Col. Inf. Dwi Agung Prihanto, explained that this preparedness rally was an anticipatory step in dealing with the threat of hydrometeorological disasters such as floods and landslides. This activity is also an effort to ensure the readiness of personnel and facilities that will be used in disaster management.
"The purpose of this apple is to ensure that all elements are ready to carry out their duties according to their respective functions when a disaster occurs. With this readiness, we hope that the impact of disasters can be minimized, both in terms of casualties and material losses," explained Dwi Agung.
Agung emphasized that the Bogor City Kodim 0606 is ready to provide full support to local governments, either through the deployment of personnel or the provision of facilities and infrastructure.
"We have 68 Babinsa in the Bogor City area. In addition, we can ask for the support of additional troops from Yonif 315 and ask for a back-up from Danrem if needed. This readiness is a form of our commitment in helping disaster management," he concluded.
Through cooperation between the DPRD, local governments, and Forkopimda elements, it is hoped that disaster mitigation efforts in Bogor City can be carried out in an integrated manner. Optimizing the use of the BTT budget, community education, and the readiness of personnel and facilities will be the key in dealing with the threat of hydrometeorological disasters that often occur in the Bogor area.
