Depression After Marissa Haque's Departure, Ikang Fawzi Chooses To Calm Himself With Umrah
JAKARTA - Singer Ikang Fawzi could not hide the feelings of grief that were still felt after the departure of his wife, Marissa Haque, 2 months ago. This ultimately had an impact on Ikang Fawzi's mental condition and also his physique, where he was depressed until his body weight fell 10 kilos.
"I'm down to more than 10 kilograms. Yes, that means it's struggling now. Listen to the depression. There are only children, they keep looking after, keep trying to exercise so they don't get too (strest). But I need time," said Ikang Fawzi in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, Saturday, December 14th.
"Yes, maybe (still have no appetite). Maybe it's normal to eat, just erode the mind," he continued.
Seeing his condition like this, Ikang Fawzi finally chose to perform Umrah with his two children, Bella and Chiki Fawzi next year.
"Maybe next year's plan is for our Umrah. Yes, with the children. Earlier, the children wanted to hurry up before the new year, but I'm not ready," said Ikang Fawzi.
Bella Fawzi added that she still needed a lot of preparation for her father to perform Umrah.

"Nothing yet, we maintain our stamina the most, we eat a lot. Yes, we try three times a day, obviously. Drink vitamins, try to exercise like that," added Bella Fawzi.
Asked about the plan in 2025, Ikang only hopes to stay healthy and be present to his family after Marissa Haque's departure.
"To be honest, there is no longer a resolution. The important thing is to stay healthy and be there for the family," he said.
