ASEAN Cup 2024: Indonesia Defeated 0-1 In The Match Against Vietnam
JAKARTA The Indonesian national team lost 0-1 in an away match against Vietnam in the group B ASEAN Cup 2024 match. The second match of the teams was held at the Phu Tho Stadium, Viet Tri, Vietnam.
The two teams still share a 0-0 mark after the first half match was over. But Vietnam managed to steal a goal in the second half.
The hosts' goal was scored by their flagship attacking midfielder, Nguyen Quang Hai in the 77th minute. Quang Hay took advantage of a mature pass from striker Nguyen Tien Linh, and beat goalkeeper Cahya Supriadi.
Indonesia tried to catch up by bringing in Ronaldo Kwateh, replacing Rayhan Hanan in the 80th minute. However, these efforts did not produce results until the second half was over.
For this result, Indonesia temporarily ranked second in the group ASEAN Cup 2024 with a score of 4 from one win, one draw, and one loss. Meanwhile, Vietnam occupies the top of the standings with a score of 6 out of two wins, each over Laos and Indonesia.
