Hyundai Creta N Line is Listed under General Market Price and Potentially Enter Indonesian Market, According to HMID

JAKARTA - Not long ago, PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) officially introduced the all-new Kona Electric N Line, boasting a sporty appearance ready to entice Indonesian consumers.

The arrival of this compact SUV also marks the beginning of Hyundai's high-performance sub-brand, N, in Indonesia. The company previously successfully launched the high-performance EV, the Ioniq 5 N.

Following the introduction of the all-new Kona Electric N Line, the South Korean manufacturer has the potential to introduce another sporty product, the Creta N Line, in Indonesia. Furthermore, the car has been registered with the Jakarta Provincial Motor Vehicle Sales Value (NJKB).

Responding to this, PT HMID Chief Operating Officer Fransiscus Soerjopranoto explained that his company will expand the N Line product range in Indonesia and demonstrate that Hyundai can offer models with a similar sporty appearance to other manufacturers.

"In general, there will definitely be a new N Line next year, because it has a sportier look. It's not just Hyundai; several other brands also have sporty or high-performance segments," Frans said in a media interview following the launch of the all-new Kona Electric at SCBD, Jakarta, last Thursday.

Although product details were not disclosed, Frans confirmed that the next N Line product will be a differentiator in the Indonesian automotive market.

"We want to show that Hyundai, especially EVs, have high-performance EVs and sporty looks. That's a differentiator for us that other brands don't have," Frans added.

Previously, the Hyundai Creta N Line was listed on the NJKB website with the codes 'CRETA NLINE GLS4X2AT', 'CRETA NLINETOP4X2 AT', and 'CRETA NTRBO1.5 4X2AT'.

It was also stated that this compact SUV has a selling price of IDR 223 million to IDR 240 million. However, it's important to remember that the prices listed on the NKJB website do not include all sales taxes, such as vehicle tax (BBNKB), income tax (PPh), value added tax (VAT), and others.

Speaking of this car, Hyundai offers a distinctive design compared to other Creta models, including a sportier appearance with new front and rear bumpers, a redesigned grille, prominent side skirts, and 18-inch rims wrapped in 215/55 R18 tires.

In terms of engine, the Hyundai Creta N Line is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 160 hp and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Additionally, the company offers a six-speed manual transmission for a different experience. The manufacturer claims the Creta N Line can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds.

This model has three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. Furthermore, the manufacturer also offers three traction modes: Snow, Sand, and Mud.

In India, the Creta N Line is priced starting from IDR 1.682 million to IDR 2 million (equivalent to IDR 317.8 million to IDR 377.9 million).
