Strengthen Efforts To Prevent Sexual Harassment, Gojek Focuses On Education, Technology, And Protection

JAKARTA - Gojek continues to be committed to creating a safe experience for driver-partners and their customers, from various types of crimes, including sexual harassment.

Through the #AmanBersamaGojek campaign, Gojek will emphasize its focus on the three main pillars, namely education, technology, and protection to protect their entire ecosystem.

In terms of education, Gojek routinely conducts special training on anti-sexual harassment for driver-partners, through various methods, ranging from modules that can be accessed in driver applications, to face-to-face training.

Until now, the Gojek training module has been accessed more than 2.5 million times. Meanwhile, face-to-face training has been carried out in 17 major cities, in order to increase awareness and skills in dealing with potential harassment.

In terms of technology, Gojek has presented various features in its applications, such as the facial recognition system to ensure the identity of the driver is in accordance with those registered in the application.

In addition, there is also a masking number feature that disguises the phone number of customers and drivers, prevents potential post-travel disturbances, as well as the Share Trip feature that allows customers to share real-time travel locations with family or relatives.

Moreover, Gojek has also provided an emergency button in the application, which is connected to the Gojek Emergency Unit Team on duty 24-7.

Meanwhile, in terms of protection, Gojek ensures that all travel is protected by insurance which includes customers and driver-partners. In addition, the company provides easy access to psychological recovery services for victims of harassment, if unwanted things happen.
