PKB Please New KPK Leaders Keep People's Trust And Avoid Selective Draw
JAKARTA - Chairman of the PKB faction of the DPR RI, Jazilul Fawaid hopes that the new leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) can maintain people's trust. Especially at this time, public support for the KPK is still very large in eradicating corruption.
"Public support is still large for the KPK compared to other institutions. But please new leaders maintain existing trust," said Jazilul, Friday, December 13.
The member of Commission III of the DPR RI also highlighted the handling of corruption cases at the KPK which are suspected of being selective. According to him, this should be a correction for the KPK so that the handling of corruption cases in the future is more professional.
Jazilul revealed that the public's suspicion that there were a number of cases that occurred in law enforcement agencies was not a legal process, but a political process. This condition, according to him, is very dangerous and will undermine the independence of the KPK and make public trust lost.
"So the new KPK leadership must reverse public perception by working transparently. There is no pressure from the executive, no political pressure comes in. There is no selective logging process," said the former deputy chairman of the MPR.
The East Java X electoral district legislator also asked the new KPK leadership to take advantage of digital technology in eradicating corruption. So that the process of handling corruption can run better.
"All bureaucracys have a digital system. But if you want to report it, the digital system sometimes dies. Complaints are sometimes not serious. Including the KPK," he said.
Jazilul said, within a year there were thousands of complaints submitted to the KPK. The results of the complaint were then mapped, then an investigation was carried out until an investigation was carried out.
"However, do not let the complaint be set to make someone a suspect in a corruption case," he appealed.

Therefore, Jazilul requested that the eradication of corruption take advantage of technology, so that everything is transparent. Nothing is covered up in handling cases so that people can participate in monitoring.
"I hope the corruption eradication process also involves advanced technology, in addition to wiretapping," he said.
