Explosion at Pondok Bambu petrol station, 1 employee suffered burns

JAKARTA - The explosion occurred at the Pondok Bambu public gas station (SPBU), Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Thursday, December 12, evening. The incident occurred when the refueling activity (BBM) was taking place.

As a result of the explosion, 1 gas station employee suffered burns due to sparks.

"There was a victim of a gas station officer earlier, a girl. He was burned by fire. The victim has been taken to the clinic," said Renaldi, one of the gas station officers to reporters, Thursday, December 12.

Renaldi said that at the time of the incident, fuel charging activities for customers were ongoing. Suddenly there was a loud explosion sound from the refueling device.

"When the incident was still open. Again, sitting together. When I exploded, I immediately ran to take the APAR," he said.

After the sound of the explosion followed by sparks.

"The fire came from the charging machine. When it exploded, he immediately ran away. The fire came out," he said.

Currently, the location of the incident is under control and the fire has been successfully extinguished. The police who carried out the crime scene had also installed a police line at the scene.
