Kejari Natuna Destroys 2 Foreign Fishing Boats From China
NATUNA - Natuna District Attorney, Riau Islands, destroyed two foreign fishing vessels from China by drowning.
Head of the Natuna Kejari Surayadi Sembiring said the ship was destroyed in the waters of Setanau Island, Pulau Tiga District. The fishing boat was previously damaged or cut into small parts, then transported by pompong local residents and drowned.
"Today we carried out the execution by destroying and drowning two Chinese foreign ships," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 11.
The foreign fishing boat was arrested in 2016 for entering Indonesian waters without permission. Then in 2017 it was decided to be destroyed by drowning.
The two fishing vessels named KM Gui Bei Yu 27088 belonged to the convict Zhang Tuan Chang and KM Cing Tan Cau 168 belonging to the convict He Cien Siung.
"The ship that was destroyed was evidence from the Natuna District Attorney's Office in a fisheries crime that had obtained a court decision with permanent legal force (inkrah)," he said.

"The destruction of foreign fishing vessels from China by the Natuna District Attorney was also accompanied by the Director of Fishery Resources Supervision of the PSDKP Directorate of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries," he said.
